Bug me one more time, I'll have you put away...

Boggers take note: watch what you post or leave as comments, you could go to prison if you piss the wrong people off.

I only wish I were making this up. But a law signed by President Bush last Thursday prohibits you from posting or e-mailing "annoying" messages without disclosing your true identity.

If you post under your real name, no problem. But if you use an assumed identity or screen name, as we all do, watch your mouth. You could be committing a federal crime.

This seems HUGE to me, Alpharat. I mean...HUGE.

Why? Why has this been done? There's always a reason, right?

Most people who don't like Bush believe that his Administration manipulates the media...
Blogging became the loophole for sharing information we weren't supposed to know about.
I mean, if this is all true, anything anyone says that 'annoys' the government could be in trouble. Right? You have to give your name...but what if you're using an anonymous source to prove your annoying position?

This worries me. Tell me it's a joke.

(and come tell me if I've offended you, and I will tell you my name)

My name was Jennifer Ann Florence at birth, and that's my name now. Two words for any jack-ass that helped get this law passed:

BITE ME!

This happens to be the most ridiculous thing Bush has done thus far. It frightens me to think that freedom of speech is only acceptable with full disclosure. I just hope it's not the end of our "free therapy".

I don't see why Bush is so concerned, seeing as he has hijacked congress and the constitution in order to spy on any of us at any time....

I really don't think anyone here needs to worry. I mean as long as you aren't putting buzz words like Osama Bin Laden, President Bush, and Assasinate into your blogs then I doubt you'll be considered annoying by any authorities.

Oh, crap.
That's it. I'm moving to Canada to live free & have the government supply my booze.

That IS the cutest baby picture I've ever seen.

Let me get this straight, it's okay to be annoying if you use your given name, but it is not okay to be annoying with an alias. Sometimes people can remain anonymous on these machines, like when they use someone else's computer, etc... so, how they gonna find 'em to prosecute?

Bush makes my gut ache.
