Insert random "Cheney Shoots Guy" joke here.

I try to keep my political thoughts off this site. It's hard sometimes, as I'm rather opinionated. Today, I am going to venture into the political a bit.

Our Vice President shot a guy in the face.

In the face.

Capped.

In the face.

Wow.

That, and Batman is taking on Osama bin Laden in a new graphic novel to be entitled "Holy Terror, Batman!" Link

Which is fine I guess; it's just also rather weird.

I wish I could make this stuff up. I swear, things just keep getting weirder every day.

After reading the story it doesn't seem so nutty...it's got Frank Miller attached...it follows a comic book tradition...

...then you remember it's called, "Holy Terror, Batman!"

If they read comics in The White House (as I'm SURE they do), then perhaps refocusing on Osama bin Laden will make some sort of difference. I dunno.
Seems, however, that creating a COMIC BOOK is perhaps a bit incendiary at present time.
But if Superman punching Hitler is what turned the tide on WW II, you gotta stick with what works.
There could be some 17-year-old seniors out there on the fence as to whether or not they should go to college or Iraq. 'I wanna kick ass like Batman!' Go Patriotism.

And I'm sure radical followers of Islam will appreciate the historic precedent established by Marvel Comics, and no innocent bystanders will be tortured to death in protest.

*Cheney. What a Dick.

Hi again. (Sheepish)
I'm sorry guys. The comments to this post had been freaking me out: http://thoreauslaughing.blogspot.com/2006/02/words-about-sketch.html

Even scarier, going over to Bulb's site, where he's posted disturbing pictures.
So, please forgive my impassioned reaction to the new Batman comic.
It's totally not Frank Miller's fault that the world is so effed up.

And please, Mr. Vice President, don't shoot me for calling you a Dick. It could have happened to anyone.

Now, if it had happened in Vermont, we would know that it was no accident. Vermonters resolve many of their disputes with "hunting accidents."

Agreed: it just keeps gettin' weirder.
